Payment in recognition of ghetto work and one-time pension substitution supplement

Revision of the Federal Government guidelines concerning the payment of amounts to victims of persecution in recognition of work in a ghetto which did not constitute forced labour (Ghetto Work Recognition Guidelines) of 12. July 2017

The Payments in Recognition of Ghetto Work working group (AG AfG) is responsible for evaluating applications for one-off payments in connection with work in a ghetto during the Nazi era. Under section 2(1) of the revised guidelines, victims of persecution who were forced to live and work in a ghetto can apply for a one-time payment of €2,000.

Under section 2(2) of the Not barrier-free file. revised Ghetto Work Recognition Guidelines, eligible individuals can also apply for a one-off payment of €1,500 if their application to the German pension authority Deutsche Rentenversicherung was only rejected because the general qualifying period pursuant to section 50(1) of the Sixth Book of the Social Security Code (Sechstes Buch Sozialgesetzbuch) was not fulfilled.

The Federal Government guidelines concerning the payment of amounts to victims of persecution in recognition of work in a ghetto which did not constitute forced labour are implemented by the AG AfG working group at the Federal Office for Central Services and Unresolved Property Issues (BADV).
